Why does breast cancer get more attention than other cancers?
I аm a woman, аnd I worry аbουt breast cancer. Bυt, I аm аlѕο curious аѕ tο whу breast cacner gets more attention thаn аnу οthеr cancer, lіkе ѕау prostate cancer. I rесkοn thаt prostate cancer, аnd οthеr men’s cancers, аrе being highly ignored аnd improperly treated, whіlе breast аnd οthеr women;s cancers аrе being paid more attention. I аlѕο believe September іѕ prostate cancer awareness month, аnd thаt breast cancer іѕ still being paid more attention. I οnlу bring thіѕ up, bесаυѕе I јυѕt lost аn uncle tο prostate cancer, аnd thіѕ wаѕ bесаυѕе whеn hе wеnt fοr treatments, thе doctors didn’t hаνе thе genteel vaccines, аnd even tοld υѕ thаt mοѕt οf thе vaccines wеrе being used tο cure breast аnd ovarion cancers іn women. Nοt tο offend, bυt whаt еνеr happened tο equal rights? I rесkοn prostate cancer ѕhουld gеt thе same amount οf attention аѕ breast cancer, јυѕt аѕ I feel men’s cancers ѕhουld gеt thе same attention аѕ women’s cancers.
I guess because its more common than the other types.
women have worked hard for breast cancer awareness & that is a excellent thing.
its more commin, and girls worrie more about it. most casses revirt in cutting off breats. so, we git frightened.
It’s because the cancer is on the breast, and us guy’s care about the breast’s.

That’s really nice of you. Breast cancer gets more attention because breasts get more attention, and it’s feminine, and as a society we are taught to take care of women.
Prostrate cancer has been being paid a small more attention like at the store they dont question you to exclusively donate to breast cancer now they have some prostrate cancer.
In a perfect world all disease would get equal billing. But isn’t prostrate cancer simpler to treat, less likely to kill you sooner?
Breast cancer gets more attention because it can be caught early and taken care of before it gets terrible. And the prevention of it is so simple. More and more women get it and catch it before it becomes debilitating and causes death.
If it is well loved, most likely it is a cash racket.
Alot of breast cancers should have second opinion.

men refuse to see a doctor unless blood is pouring out. I was sick with cancer for a year befor i did anything. also you cant see or feel [ with out finger in butt test witch no man wants to have ] prostate cancer. Breast cancer IS NOT more common then prostate cancer…..
I know your frustrated but prostate cancer has been known for many years to be the chief produce of death in men. But just more just they’ve been trying to make women aware of their risks. And to be honest the women that have been diagnosed with breast cancer are the ones doing all the work to raise awareness. Men have to give the same effort to help others. And I am truly sorry for your lost.
p.s you can help raise awareness by starting a foundation or even making posters and hanging them up, point being, make a statement.

Initially off, sorry for your loss. The reason that Breast cancer gets more attention than any other cancer is that breast cancer is the most well loved type of all cancers. Followed by prostate,lung, and liver. Another reason that breast and prostate are 1 and 2 is that they are the simplest to diagnose and treat and locate for that matter. They have a better success rate of butchery it copared to other cases. Men can check themselves all the time for prostate. Women just have to go get a mamograhm.
because well-known celebrities gets breast cancer. So when a name well-known gets cancer. The cancer will become as well-known as the patient itself.
um…for women the huge one is breast as you disorder..but men they always talk about testicular cancer…probably because people are so worried about their looks, mostly all other cancers are internal, except skin…and maybe you should get a new doctor since i’ve by no means heard of a hospital not having the genteel treatments to struggle cancer..and i thought a name takes vaccines before they get a disease to become immune to it? no one gets cancer vaccinations from what i know…equals rights deal with people, not what cancer gets the most attention..i reckon you should make sure your stuff makes sense before you post anything else
Cancer is cancer, no matter where you get it, and the end results if left untreated will be the same. Maybe woman talk about it more openly than men do, hence we get more attention. I am a cancer patient myself (breast cancer). At smallest amount I have my life, who cares about the breast. I certainly dont.

come to this incorrect conclutions because the brest cancer cases are more than other cancers. Worldwide, it is the most common form of cancer in females, affecting approximately one out of twelve to thirteen women who reach age nineteen or at some stage of their life in the Western world. It is (after lung cancer) the second most fatal cancer in women.
Lung, Pancreas, Prostrate, Brain, Liver, colon, throat cancer in men and Cervix, breast, lung, Colon, in women are the cancers noticed in more numbers.
Please note that Cancer is still an inigma and it comes out all of a sudden without charitable any warning bell and that too when they are in advanced stage. A considerable percentage in both sex are fatel. Some madicines are in scarce and not available. So it is not right to blame the health check professionals for any untoward happening in the treatment of this disease. Additional some oncologist are expert in some cancer surgery and they can not treat all the cancers. It is our duty to get the right person who can deliver the goods to us. They are doing their best and we should repose our faith in them. Ofcourse we can have second opinions always and take action.
I am writing this so long becuase of my own experience in 3/4 cases in men and ladies.
i don’t reckon any cancers are being ignored or improperly treated , its just that breast cancer awareness is very strong . my son has brainstem cancer , its awareness isn’t strong . more people need to place the word out there , get the message to new people , not just the hospitals and such .without the word being out there , donations for research are not as plentiful . we need more research for all different types of cancer.

i am a young mother with 2 small children and i have breast cancer. i reckon breast cancer gets more attention because 1 in 9 women will develop the disease and because breast cancer is affecting women younger and younger. many moms out there have breast cancer with young children. many young woman want to have children but somehow can’t or have to postpone due to breast cancer. there is too many young children out there with their mommies fighting breast cancer.
I reckon it’s because the digit of breast cancer patients are higher if compared with prostate cancer patients. Thus, the title of breast cancer is more in the ‘red alert’ zone….
