What is the chance of a teenager getting lung cancer?
I’m 17 аnd hаνе smoked 2-3 cigaretts a day fοr аbουt a year аnd сhοѕе tο quit јυѕt. I hаνе read a sign οf lung cancer іѕ shortness οf breath whісh I’ve bееn having thе last 2 days. Iѕ іt bесаυѕе I’m craving nicotine thаt I feel lіkе being paid fresh air аnd having thе need tο take deep breath?
quit now while you can. takes the body about 6 wks to adjust without nicotine and don’t substitute chewing tobacco unless you want drains appearance out of your face or you get a surgical infection or need your tongue/gullet/neck cut out and you get emphysema.
Lung cancer is possible, rare in your age group even from smoking, but we already have a lethal air pollution problem, so, collective w smoking, who knows. and our food/water supply is tainted, does make your odds increase..how can you afford them anyway? Why do you want to support tobacco grower families in their corrupt lifestyle, now that’s some type of slavery, smoking nearly against your will…I could go on, ordinarily just get hideous w yellow teeth, fingers, grey skin /wrinkles from decreased circulation, unless you get a grave cold/bacteria and die from tar/nicotine in your lungs..
1 in 3164, assuming it’s a non-smoker.
The chances are close to zero. When a young person gets lung cancer and by young, I mean below 40 years ancient, it is not due to smoking. 0.2% of all lung cancers occur between the ages of 20-34 and there is no data available for anyone below 20.
