    There is no one gene that causes breast cancer. And you can’t exclude environmental factors, such as being exposed to carcinogens. The “cancer” alleles that are inherited do not mean that you will get breast cancer, they just mean that you have a greater opportunity of being paid it at some point in your life.
    I don’t know your teacher is referring to the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes?

    …I reckon you need to converse in with your teacher. Get her to help clarify things for you. Because she seems to be on a completely different wave length to reality.
