How Bad Is Colon Cancer?

Wе јυѕt found out thаt mу mother wаѕ diagnosed wіth colon cancer, іt wаѕ devistating. I аm οnlу 12, ѕο I need mу mother іn mу life.
I аm јυѕt wondering whether οr nοt ѕhе hаѕ a opportunity tο survive?

    Depends on where in the colon and what stage. The later the stage the less likely she is to survive. But the 5 year survival rating is as follows.
    Rectum: 59%
    Right colon: 59%
    Transverse colon: 59%
    Rectosigmoid junction: 62%
    Ascending colon: 63%
    Left colon: 65%
    Descending colon: 66%

    If it’s caught honestly early on, it’s very treatable. Remember, Ronald Reagan had colon cancer and he survived it with no problems.

    Anyone with polyps should have a colonoscopy on a regular basis. . The colon is a very tough piece of tissue and it takes quite a while for cancer to eat trough it.

    Like most cancers it depends on the stage. At stage 1 the 5 year survival rate is 95% at stage 4 it is 5%.
